Tenants

When you create a user account in Thingspod, you have created a tenant. You and anyone who logs in to this user account will be recognized as the owner or administrator of this tenant. As a tenant administrator, you will have the ability to create a new tenant, customer, user, and role.

Create a new tenant

One of the advantages of Thingspod over other IoT platforms is the ability to manage multiple tenants through a single email. As a tenant manager, you will be able to create different tenants for your multiple projects and have different roles in each one. Creating a tenant is possible in two ways.

Method 1:

To create a new tenant, you must:  

• Click on the three dots icon at the top right of the screen.
• In the opened window, click on Add Tenant and then select "Add New Tenant".
• Choose a title for your tenant and finally click on "Create".

Your Tenant has been created successfully and you will enter the new tenant.

Another way to create a tenant is to use the token of the user group.

To copy the token of the user group, you must:

• Enter the User Groups page from the Home section or the main menu on the left side of the screen.
• Click on the name of the desired user group. In the opened window, click on the Display token button in the Details tab.
• Click on the Copy Token icon. Copy the token of the user group. Finally, click on the OK button.

• Click on the three dots icon at the top right of the screen.
• In the opened window, click on the Add Tenant. Then click on the Add Tenant by Token button.
• In the opened window, enter the Token of the User Group you want to add to your tenant. Click on Create.
