Each tenant can add user groups and users. They can limit their access levels to Thingspod entities. This access restriction is done using roles. Also, any number of devices, assets, dashboards, etc. can be assigned to each user.

 

Add user groups

 

To add user groups:

  • From the main menu on the left side of the page, click on User Groups.
  • In the upper right corner of the opened page, click on the + icon and enter a name for your group. Click Add.
  • By clicking on the name of the User Groups, enter the Roles tab, and add a role for the user group by clicking on the + icon.
  • Click on open user group and enter the users page.

Now, you can add a new user to your user group.

  • Click on the + icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • In the opened window, enter the user's email. Then click on the Send activation email button.
  • The user must activate the user account through the sent email to be added as a user in the user area.

Note that if the user already has an active user account, instead of an activation email, the user will only receive a notification email for being added to the tenant.

 
 

Now a new user has been added. By clicking on Login as User, you can access the user page. On this page, according to the restrictions made by roles, only the assigned entities are visible.
